Maheesh Theekshana is a professional cricketer from Sri Lanka. He was born on June 16, 1999, in Nittambuwa, Sri Lanka. Theekshana is a right-arm leg-spin bowler.
Theekshana gained recognition during the 2021 edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) where he impressed with his spin bowling skills. His performances in the LPL earned him a call-up to the Sri Lanka national team.
He made his international debut in September 2021, playing in a One Day International (ODI) match against South Africa. In that match, he made an immediate impact by taking a hat-trick, becoming the third Sri Lankan bowler to achieve this feat on debut.
Theekshana is known for his unique bowling action and his ability to deceive batsmen with his variations. He possesses a wide range of deliveries, including googlies, sliders, and leg-breaks, which make him a challenging bowler to face.
