Chamika Karunaratne, born on May 29, 1996, is a professional cricketer from Sri Lanka. He represents his country in all three formats of the game and is also a national badminton player. Karunaratne made his international cricket debut for the Sri Lanka national team in February 2019. However, in November 2022, he received a one-year ban from cricket for violating his player agreement during the aftermath of the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
He began his first-class career playing for Tamil Union Cricket and Athletic Club in the 2015-16 Premier League Tournament, making his debut on December 18, 2015. Karunaratne was also part of the Sri Lanka team for the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup and made his Test debut against Australia on February 1, 2019.
