Mohammad Wasim Jr. is a talented Pakistani cricketer. He was born on August 25, 2001, into a Pashtun family in North Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He started his cricket journey with tape-ball cricket in his hometown. Despite facing limited facilities, his love for the game led him to move to Peshawar, the provincial capital, where he joined a cricket club. With hard work and dedication, Wasim Jr. progressed through district and regional levels, eventually earning a place in the Pakistan U19 team.

He represented Pakistan in the Under-19 Cricket World Cup In 2020, where he showcased his skills on the international stage. His remarkable performances caught the eye of selectors, leading to his first-class debut for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the 2020–21 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy in November 2020.

Wasim Jr. made his List A debut for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the 2020–21 Pakistan Cup in January 2021. Shortly after, he furthered his reputation by debuting in the 2021 Pakistan Super League for Islamabad United in the shortest format.

His consistent performances earned him a place in Pakistan's limited-overs squads for tours to South Africa and Zimbabwe in March 2021.
