Irfan Khan (Mohammad Irfan Khan Niazi) is a Pakistani cricketer who plays as a batsman for the Pakistan cricket team. He was born on 28 December 2002 in Mianwali, Punjab, Pakistan. He bats right-handed and bowls right-arm medium-fast. He represented the Central Punjab cricket team from 2019 to 2021. Irfan was bought by the Karachi Kings for the Pakistan Super League 2023 and currently, he is part of Karachi Kings.
Irfan Khan Career
Irfan Khan began playing hard-ball cricket after switching from tape-ball cricket in 2015. He joined the Ikram Shaheed Cricket Club in his city. Following his club cricket experience, he progressed to play Under-19 cricket. In 2016, he played at the district level with Mianwali, and in 2017, he advanced to the regional level with Faisalabad. His notable performances earned him a spot in Pakistan's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
Irfan was selected to play for the newly formed team, Central Punjab, in the 2019–20 domestic cricket season. He was retained by Central Punjab for the 2020–21 season. Irfan made his List A cricket debut for Pakistan Shaheens in February 2020 during a match against the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) on their tour of Pakistan. he made his Twenty20 debut for Central Punjab in the 2020–21 National T20 Cup. then he was chosen to represent Pakistan in the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in the West Indies.
