Haris Rauf is a Pakistani cricketer who made his international debut in January 2020. Born on November 7, 1993, in Rawalpindi, Punjab, Haris hails from a working-class family with roots in Sharkool village, the Hazara region. He belongs to the Pashtun ethnic group.

Despite growing up near the Diamond Cricket Club in Islamabad, Haris didn't formally join the club. He initially showed more interest in football during his school days, even winning a football trophy and being recognized as the best player of the tournament.

Haris attended Islamabad Model College for Boys I-8/3 and later pursued an IT program at the International Islamic University, Islamabad, where he worked part-time at a mobile shop. To supplement his income, he played tape-ball cricket with various teams that provided compensation.

At the age of 23, he started playing with a hard ball and was eventually spotted by Aaqib Javed, which led to a contract with Lahore Qalandars. Under the guidance of Aaqib Javed, he embarked on a dedicated fitness journey, along with structured training and a diet plan. He also played for the Hawkesbury Cricket Club in Australia.

In December 2022, Haris Rauf made his Test debut against England, marking a significant milestone in his career. He has been recognized for his impressive performances and contributions to the cricket world.

On 23rd December 2022, Haris Rauf tied the knot with his classmate, Muzna Masood Malik, in a traditional nikkah ceremony in Islamabad, celebrating a special moment in his personal life. In August 2023, Haris Rauf achieved a remarkable feat by taking his first international five-wicket haul, securing a fantastic performance with figures of 5/18 against Afghanistan.
