Abdullah Shafique, born on November 20, 1999, is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for the Pakistan national cricket team in all formats. He's a right-handed top-order batsman and has also played for teams like Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), as well as Central Punjab and Balochistan in Pakistan's domestic cricket.

Abdullah Shafique hails from Sialkot, Punjab, and comes from a Punjabi Gujjar family. His father, Shafique Ahmed, was a professional cricketer and later became a cricket coach. He also has an uncle named Arshad Ali, who played international cricket for the United Arab Emirates. Beyond cricket, Abdullah has a passion for music and is a singer who enjoys playing the guitar. Abdullah Shafique Career

Abdullah Shafique started his journey in professional cricket when he was picked by Multan Sultans in the 2018 Pakistan Super League draft. He made his first-class debut for Central Punjab in the 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, scoring 133 runs. Later, in September 2020, he made his Twenty20 debut and scored an impressive 102 not out, becoming the first Pakistani batsman to score a century on his first-class and T20 debut. His career continued to rise as he was named in Lahore Qalandars' squad for the 2022 Pakistan Super League season (PSL).

Abdullah Shafique's notable achievements include being part of the Pakistan national team, making his T20 International debut against Zimbabwe in November 2020, and his Test debut against Bangladesh in November 2021. He also scored his maiden Test century in a series against Australia in February 2022.

In October 2023, he marked his World Cup debut, playing for Pakistan against Sri Lanka. In this match, he achieved a remarkable milestone by scoring his first ODI century, leading Pakistan to a victory and breaking a record for the highest successful run chase in a World Cup match.
