Shreyas Iyer is an Indian Cricketer. His full name is Shreyas Santosh Iyer and he was born in a Tamil Brahmin Family on 6 December 1994 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. His father's name is Santosh Iyer (Businessman) and His mother's name is Rohini Iyer (Homemaker). He has one younger sister Shresta Iyer.

Since childhood, he was fond of playing cricket. Iyer received his primary education from Don Bosco High School, Mumbai. He pursued his graduation from Podar College in Mumbai. When he was only 12 years old, he was noticed by a coach, Pravin Amre at the Shivaji Park Gymkhana in Mumbai.

In 2014, Iyer played for the Trent Bridge Cricket Team of the United Kingdom and scored 297 runs in three matches at an average of 99 with the highest score of 171. In November 2014, he made his List A debut for the Mumbai Cricket team during the 2014–15 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Shreyas Iyer has played in all formats for the Indian team. Iyer scored a century in his debut test match and a half-century in the second innings against New Zealand in November 2021 and became the first Indian player to do so.
