Suryakumar Yadav was born on September 14, 1990, in Mumbai. He is a talented Indian cricketer who plays for the Indian national team in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). He is known for his outstanding batting skills, especially in T20 cricket, where many consider him one of the best players in the world right now. Surya Kumar Yadav is currently the vice-captain of the Indian T20I team and has represented India in all forms of the game. In the Indian Premier League (IPL), he plays for the Mumbai Indians and also serves as the team's vice-captain. Additionally, he plays for Mumbai in domestic cricket.
Yadav was born and grew up in Mumbai. He got his start in cricket with the guidance of his uncle, Vinod Yadav, and learned the game while playing on the streets of Chembur. When he was just 10 years old, his father noticed his interest in cricket and signed him up for a cricket camp in the BARC colony in Anushakti Nagar. Later, he joined the Elf Vengsarkar Academy, which was run by former international cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar and played cricket at various age levels in Mumbai. He also attended Pillai College of Arts, Commerce, and Science.
In July 2016, Yadav got married to Devisha Shetty. They first met in 2010 at a college event. Shetty is a skilled dancer and a dance coach.
