Mohammad Nabi Eisakhil is an Afghan cricketer who used to be the captain of the Afghanistan national cricket team. He is known for his aggressive batting style as a right-handed batsman and his off-break bowling.
Nabi played a crucial role in Afghanistan’s journey to the highest level of international cricket. He played in their first One Day International (ODI) match in April 2009 and their first Test match in June 2018. He was also part of Afghanistan’s inaugural T20I team, playing against Ireland on 1st February 2010, and became the fifth player to represent Afghanistan in T20 Internationals. Nabi was part of Afghanistan’s first T20 World Cup squad and played in their first match against India during the 2010 ICC World Twenty20.
As a captain, Nabi led Afghanistan in their debut appearances in the 2014 Asia Cup and the 2015 Cricket World Cup. He has also participated in various Twenty20 franchise tournaments and was the first Afghan player to be selected in the player auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
