Sean Abbott

Sean Abbott is a professional Australian cricketer his full name is Sean Anthony Abbott, He's originally from Windsor in New South Wales and was born on February 29, 1992. He's an all-rounder and bats with his right hand. Abbott has played for the Australian national team in white-ball cricket. He began his cricket journey by playing junior cricket for Baulkham Hills Cricket Club and then moved on to grade cricket with Parramatta District. Abbott finished his schooling at Gilroy College in Castle Hill.

Sean Abbott began his cricket career in 2010, playing for New South Wales. He later played for Parramatta and Sydney University in Sydney Grade Cricket. In the Big Bash League, he represented Sydney Thunder and Sydney Sixers.

Abbott faced a tragic incident in 2014 when Abbott bowled a bouncer that hit Phillip Hughes on the neck. Hughes died two days later at St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney. he returned to play and earned recognition in cricket. He also played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League and Surrey in English county cricket. In 2022, he joined the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL and the Manchester Originals in The Hundred.

Sean Abbott made his T20 International debut for Australia against Pakistan in October 2014 and his One Day International debut two days later, also against Pakistan. In 2019, he returned to the Australian international side after a five-year break. He's been part of various international squads, including Tests, ODIs, and T20Is. He was named in the Australia squad for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 in India.
