Pat Cummins is a skilled Australian cricketer, known for his impressive abilities as a fast bowler. He showed his potential from an early age and made his Test debut at just 18 years old, where he took seven wickets against South Africa in 2011. Unfortunately, injuries kept him away from cricket for several years, but he made a remarkable comeback to the national team six years later.
He made his Test comeback during the 2017 tour of India but couldn't prevent his team from losing the series. He became the number of ranked Test bowler on the back of consistent performances and ended up winning the Allan Border Medal for being the best men's cricketer in the 2018-19 season.
At the age of 18 years and 193 days, Cummins achieved the distinction of becoming the seventh youngest player to take a five-wicket haul in Tests. He also became the tenth-fastest bowler to reach 150 Test wickets, accomplishing this feat in just 31 Tests. In 2021, he was appointed as the Test captain and later took on the role of white-ball captain following Aaron Finch's retirement in the same year.
