Dawid Malan

Dawid Malan is an English cricketer who plays in all international formats for England. He represents Yorkshire in domestic cricket and has also played for Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League. Malan made his Test and T20I debuts in 2017, and his ODI debuts in 2019. He achieved a record-high rating of 915 in the ICC Men's Player Rankings in 2020. He was a part of the England team that won the 2022 T20 World Cup. Malan is a left-handed top-order batter and occasionally bowls leg-spin. He's one of only four Englishmen to score a T20I century.

Dawid Malan and his family relocated to South Africa when he was seven years old. He attended Paarl Boys' High School and later made his first-class debut for Boland. He eventually joined Middlesex, where he played for over a decade. Malan is also a supporter of Liverpool F.C.

His father Dawid Malan, Sr. had a cricket career, representing Western Province B, Northern Transvaal B, and Teddington. He was a right-handed batter and a right-arm fast-medium bowler. Malan's brother, Charl Malan, also played first-class cricket for Loughborough MCCU, while his sister Line Malan was an international field hockey player for South Africa.
