Ravi Teja is an Indian actor and producer. He was born on January 26, 1968, in East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh, India. Ravi Teja made his film debut in 1990 with Karthavyam and played minor or uncredited roles in several films including Allari Priyudu (1993) and Ninne Pelladata (1996).
In addition to Sindhooram (1997), Manasichi Choodu (1998), Premaku Velayara (1999), Samudram (1999), and Annayya (2000), he appeared in supporting roles in several other films. His work also included assistant directing. In 1999, he made his acting debut in Nee Kosam, which performed averagely at the box office.
His performance earned him the Nandi Special Jury Award. Subsequently, he became a well-established lead actor with the films Itlu Sravani Subramanyam (2001), and Avunu Valliddaru Ista Paddaru! Both films were commercially successful, including Idiot (2002).
He then went onto star in notable films like Khadgam (2002), Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi (2003), Venky (2004), Naa Autograph (2004), Bhadra (2005), Vikramarkudu (2006), Dubai Seenu (2007), Krishna (2008), Neninthe (2008), Kick (2009), Sambho Siva Sambho (2010), Don Seenu (2010), Mirapakay (2011), Balupu (2013), Power (2014), Bengal Tiger (2015), Raja the Great (2017), and Krack (2021).
His other notable works include Khiladi (2022), Ramarao On Duty (2022), Dhamaka (2023), Tiger Nageswara Rao (2023), Ravanasura (2023), and Waltair Veerayya (2024).
Teja married his wife Kalyani on May 26, 2002. The couple has a daughter Mokshada, who was born in 2003, and a son Manit, who was born in 2006.
