Teja Nidamanuru (Anil Teja Nidamanuru) is an Indian-born cricketer who plays for the Netherlands cricket team. He is known for his all-rounder skills. He was born on 22 August 1994 in Vijayawada, India. He bats right-handed and bowls Right-arm off-break. He plays for the Netherlands Cricket Team in limited over cricket one day International and Tweenty20 International. He has also played for Auckland in New Zealand domestic cricket.
Nidamanuru hails from Vijayawada, India. He was a business development manager (BDO) at a workflow management company, where he collaborated with his fellow Stephan Myburgh who is a South African-born Dutch cricketer.
Teja Nidamanuru Career
Teja Nidamanuru began his Twenty20 career with Auckland during the 2017–18 Super Smash on December 13, 2017. He later made his List A debut for Auckland in the 2018–19 Ford Trophy on November 14, 2018.
Nidamanuru relocated to the Netherlands in 2019, where he assumed a player-coach role at Kampong Cricket Club based in Utrecht. Subsequently, he joined Punjab Rotterdam, delivering an impressive performance in a 2021 Dutch T20 Cup game against VOC Rotterdam, scoring 104 runs from 42 balls.
He got a spot in the Dutch One Day International (ODI) squad for the series against the West Indies in May 2022, marking his ODI debut on May 31, 2022. He later joined the Netherlands' Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Global Qualifier B tournament in Zimbabwe, making his T20I debut on July 11, 2022, against Papua New Guinea.
He was named to the Dutch ODI squad for their series against Zimbabwe, where he achieved a significant milestone by scoring his first ODI century in the first match In March 2023, His impressive 110 runs off 96 balls played a crucial role in the Netherlands' recovery from a challenging 110/6 position, ultimately securing a three-wicket victory in their pursuit of the host's 249 runs.
