Nosthush Kenjige (Nosthush Pradeep Kenjige) is an American cricketer, Who plays for the United States National Cricket Team. He was Born on March 2, 1991, in Auburn, Alabama, United States. He is known for his bowling skills, He bats left-handed and bowls Left-arm orthodox.
Nosthush Kenjige`s father worked as an agricultural researcher at Tuskegee University. When he was just one year old, they went back to India, to a place near Bengaluru, where his dad had a coffee farm. Kenjige went to The Lawrence School, Lovedale, and played cricket there. He also played cricket in college in Bengaluru. He came back to the U.S. in 2015, first to Virginia and then to New York, where he got a job as a biological technician.
Nosthush Kenjige Career
Nosthush Kenjige was selected to play for the United States in the 2017–18 Regional Super50 tournament in the West Indies. He had his first List A cricket match for the United States against the Leeward Islands on January 31, 2018.
He was part of the United States team for the 2018–19 ICC World Twenty20 Americas Qualifier tournament in Morrisville, North Carolina. Kenjige was the top wicket-taker in the tournament, securing twelve dismissals in six matches. In October 2018, he was chosen to represent the United States in the 2018–19 Regional Super50 tournament in the West Indies and the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Three tournament in Oman.
Nosthush Kenjige was named in the United States' Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their series against the United Arab Emirates in February 2019, though he did not get to play. These matches marked the first T20I fixtures for the United States cricket team. He was included in the United States cricket team's squad for the 2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament in Namibia.
He was announced as part of a 30-player training squad for the United States cricket team, leading up to the Regional Finals of the 2018–19 ICC T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier tournament in Bermuda. The following month, he was among twelve players who signed a three-month central contract with USA Cricket. He was named in the United States' One Day International (ODI) squad for the 2019 United States Tri-Nation Series. He was picked to play for the United States in the 2019–20 Regional Super50 tournament.
Kenjige was part of the United States' One Day International (ODI) squad for the 2019 United Arab Emirates Tri-Nation Series. He made his ODI debut for the United States on December 8, 2019, in a match against the United Arab Emirates.
