Pakistani fast bowler and batsman made an exciting announcement, revealing that he had been granted a prestigious golden visa for the United Arab Emirates (UAE), joining the ranks of other celebrities who hold this privilege.
The 20-year-old cricketer shared a picture on his Instagram account, capturing the moment he received the golden visa from officials at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRF) in Dubai. In a heartfelt caption, he expressed his gratitude, saying, “Great honor to receive my Golden Visa from a country that I call my second home!”
In addition to Naseem Shah several other Pakistani cricketers, such as Shadab Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed, have previously been granted golden visas for Dubai. Shadab Khan, for instance, received his golden visa earlier in the year, and he too took to Instagram to share the news, emphasizing the special connection he feels with the UAE: “The UAE has been a second home for me outside Pakistan, and it always feels like home. I am honored to have received the Golden Visa.”
However, it hasn’t been all smooth sailing for our featured cricketer. During the Asia Cup 2023, which took place last month, he encountered a setback. In the 46th over of Pakistan’s second game against India, the pacer was forced to leave the field due to a shoulder injury. Fortunately, it was determined that this injury was not a recurrence of any previous shoulder issues. After undergoing a successful surgery to address the shoulder injury, he regrettably had to withdraw from participating in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023.
