Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the prize money for PSL 8 the winning team and the runners-up of the 8th Season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The PSL 8 tournament is set to the next few hours as the 6 Teams aim to win the coveted trophy, along with bagging huge prize money.
According to the source, the PSL 8 winning team will be awarded Rs. 120 million along with the newly unveiled 24-karat Supernova Trophy. The runners-up for the tournament will be awarded Rs. 48 million.
PSL has witnessed an exponential increase in prize money over the years. The winners of PSL 7, Lahore Qalandars (LQ) were awarded Rs. 80 million for their sensational title win while the losing finalists, Multan Sultans were awarded Rs. 32 million.
Previously, winners of PSL 6, Multan Sultans prize money of Rs. 75 million while runners-up, Peshawar Zalmi were awarded Rs. 30 million.

Islamabad United won the title in 2016 and 2018. Peshawar Zalmi won the 2017 edition. Quetta Gladiators, who were the finalists in the first two editions, won the 2019 competition. Karachi Kings were the first side to win to lift the trophy at their home when they eased past Lahore Qalandars in Karachi in 2020. Multan Sultans bagged their maiden title in 2021. Last year, Lahore Qalandars lifted the PSL trophy in Lahore.
The PSL 2023 will be held in two legs with Multan Cricket Stadium and National Bank Cricket Arena splitting matches from 13th February before the action shifts to the Gaddafi Stadium and Pindi Cricket Stadium where the matches will be played from February 26 to March 19. This includes the Qualifier, two Eliminators and the final at the home of Pakistan cricket from March 15-19.
