Punjab Govt Announce Summer Vacations in Privat and Govt Schools. The Punjab government has reportedly extended summer vacations for all Government and private schools across the province by one month. According to media reports, the current academic year will end on 31st May instead of 31st March. The new academic year will stretch from 1st August 2022 to 31st March 2023. Students will get a two-month summer break, instead of one, from 1 June to 31 July 2022.
Further, the provincial government has also decided to revise the timings of schools and colleges in the province from March in view of the increased daytime during summers. Furthermore, in light of the increased daytime during the summers, the provincial government has decided to change the hours of schools and institutions in the province beginning in March.
The department announced two-month summer vacations in Punjab from 1 June to 31 July and stated that exams for class 1 through 8 will be held in the first week of May. The Government of Punjab has announced two-month summer vacations from 1 June to 31 July 2022 for all Government and private schools across the province. The decision was made on Monday in accordance with a notification issued by the Punjab School Education Department.

The new Academic year for 2022-2023 will start from 1st of August while examinations from Grade 1-8 classes will be conducted from May onwards. This decision was made on 14 March 2022 and notification was issued by Punjab School Education Department. This decision is applicable for both Government and Private Schools.
