Islamabad Federal government has announced three day holidays for Eid-ul-Azha in expected date Pakistan from 11 August to 13 August 2019.
General information that Eid-ul-Adha Pakistan Expected date August 11 to 13, 2019 Tuesday to Thursday shall be public holidays on the occasion of the religious festival of Eid-ul-Azha.”
The central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee had on Monday announced that the Zil-Hajj moon had been sighted in the country and Eid-ul-Azha.
Muslims across the world celebrate Eid-ul-Azha in remembrance of the willingness of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) to sacrifice the life of his son for Allah (SWT).
On the occasion, believers sacrifice animals, distribute the meat among the poor and relatives, followed by festivities and greetings. Eid ul Adha is the second Eid of every Islamic year, it is also called Festival of Sacrifice. On this day Muslims sacrifice (qurban) an animal, and divide into three parts, one part is distributed among the poors, second part is given to the relatives and third part is kept at home for own use. The Eid is celebrated at the end of Hajj, on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah. On this day, every muslim offers Namaz e Eid in the mosque, or at designated special places, the Eid prayer is offered early morning, after that the process of Qurbani starts, and the meat is distributed among the poor and family members.
