Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa performed Umrah with his family on Sunday.

COAS Bajwa prayed for the country’s peace and prosperity.The army chief performed Umrah as a special guest of the royal family.He will also meet members of the Saudi kingdom during his visit to Saudi Arabia.Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan had performed Umrah in Saudi Arabia’s holy city Makkah.
He offered prayers at Masjid-ul-Haram – the Holy Mosque, along with his delegation comprising Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, Tourism Minister Atif Khan, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Naeem ul Haq and Foreign Secretary Sohail Mehmood while on Saudi visit to attend OIC summit. Prime Minister’s wife Bushra Begum also accompanied him during the Tawaf.
The Saudi king and the COAS agreed that both the countries share great history of cordial relations and deep spirit of brotherhood which has transformed into an enduring partnership. The crown Prince and foreign minister were also present in the meeting.
COAS also held meeting with deputy crown prince and the defence minister HRH Muhammad bin Salman to discuss matters related to mutual interests and bilateral security cooperation. The Defence Minster reassured the Army Chief that the kingdom supports peace and stability in Pakistan in every way.
COAS reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to the security and protection of the Holy Mosques and also the territorial integrity of the kingdom.
