Zakir Hussain is an Indian actor who works in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu films. He was born on December 12, 1965, in Meerut, India. Zakir is known for his negative, villains and comic roles.
His Well known for his best performances include those of Rashid in Ramgopal Varma’s 2005 film Sarkar, Shardul in Sriram Raghavan’s 2007 film Johnny Gaddaar and Prakash Rao in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Returns, which gained enormous popularity in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu Flims Industry. He builds a lot of popularity as an actor in the negative, villain, and comic roles in Flim industry.
Hussain worked in theatre for a few years before moving to Mumbai to work in television and film. As an actor, Sriram Raghavan debuted in 2004 with the film Ek Hasina Thi starring Sriram Raghavan.
His role in the film was limited to two scenes, but he managed to impress director Ramgopal Varma, who offered him the role of Rashid in Sarkar. At the Stardust Film Awards in 2006, Hussain was awarded the “New Menace” award as a cold-blooded villain.
Hussain appeared in almost all of Varma’s productions after Sarkar. Another Raghavan film, Johnny Gaddaar, featured Hussain as Shardul. Audiences were so impressed by Hussain’s performance that people on the streets began addressing him as Shardul. Fame and decent paychecks came from this film.
Zakir Hussain’s family member’s name is not known but he belongs to the Islam religion and is married to Sarita Hussain.
