Talat Iqbal was a senior and well known Pakistani actor. He was born on 1st December 1950 in Karachi, Pakistan. Talat was best known for her roles in dramas Kaif E Baharan (2018) and Ab Dekh Khuda Kya Karta Hai (2018). He was known as one of the most stylish TV actors at the peak of his acting career. Tatal became an actor by choice and followed by support by his fate. He has introduced to Pakistani Radio during his college days by his family friend and a renowned poet, Obaidullah Aleem. Very soon, Tatal Iqbal got a minor role in the TV show Insaan Aur Aadmi in 1968. Over time, he became a famous face in Pakistani Radio and Theatre shows. The popular US theatre director John Ellay was impressed by Talat’s performance and let him play the lead role in PTV’s drama Saibaan. In 1976 he began his acting career in Urdu films from Anokhi with Shabnam. Aag Aur Aansu in 1976 and Sholay Pe Shola in 1977 are the best hit films by Tatal Iqbal.
There were many Urdu dramas Talat Iqbal worked on, including Shikaste Aarzoo, Paivand, Mehva, Kaarvan, and Aabgeenay. He became a famous actor in the 1980s from his roles in Muqaddam-e-Kashmir, Operation Dwarka (1996), and Jinnah Se Quaid Tak (1998). He was a good singer in his college and has given his magnificent voice for several ads. In 1999, he left Pakistan and shifted to the USA to raise his child. He still appeared in a few Pakistani dramas like Ab Dekh Khuda Kya Karta Hai, Kam Zarf, and Kaif-e-Baharan.
Talat Iqbal is married to Sumbal, who died on 2014 due to cancer, and has a daughter Sarah. Talat Iqbal was going through many ailments, and the grief of her daughter’s sudden death was the reason behind his demise on 24 September 2021 in the USA. Most notable projects by Tatal Iqbal are Shikasht-e-Aarzu, Do Dooni Paanch, Aakhiri Chataan, Karvaan, and Kaif-e-Baharan.
