Satinder Pal Singh otherwise known as Satinder Sartaaj, he is an handsome Indian Punjabi Sufi Singer, Lyricist, Poet, and also as known for Actor. He was born on 18 May 1982 in Village Bajrawar, Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India, who is won Best International Act at the Brit Asia TV Music Awards (BAMA) in 2011.
He became famous for his song “Udaarian”. Since then he has performed across the world. Sartaaj is worldwide popularity from his song ”Sai” from his album Sartaaj in 2010.
Sartaaj began a professional music career at the age of 20. Before this, he has stated he was a farmer and had no interest in pursuing a career as a performer. In 2017, Sartaaj made his debut in the American film industry with the movie The Black Prince, a biopic of Maharaja Duleep Singh. On 02 May 2014, Sartaaj performed in the Royal Albert Hall, London, United Kingdom.
His song “Udaarian” featuring Raj Shoker was a huge hit in 2018 and has been viewed over 200 million times on YouTube. In 2017 he won “Best Songwriter” at BAMA and in 2018 he won “Music Video of the Year” at BAMA for Udaarian. Sartaaj has said that he considers shayari poetry as his first love.
Satinder Sartaaj belong to village of Bajrawar in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. His father’s name and his mother’s name is not known. He also has a brother. He got married to Gauri on 9 December 2010. Sartaaj completed his schooling from Government Primary School, Bajrawar, Hoshiarpur, and completed his graduation in Music with Honours from Govt. College, Hoshiarpur.
Alongside he also completed his 5-year diploma in classical music from Sangeet Vishard in Jalandhar. After that Satinder headed to Punjab University, Chandigarh for his Masters in Music and M.Phil.
