Salman Saqib Sheikh aka Mani, who is an mulyi-talented Pakistani actor, politician, and host. He was born on 22 March 1976 in Karachi, Pakistan. Mani is famous known for his comic roles. He is best known for his roles as Mani in the comedy TV series “Meri Teri Kahani”, Dr. Abhiyaan in the horror drama series “Bandish”, and the telefilm Dil Toh Bacha Hai.
Mani is an outspoken actor who is never shy about sharing his opinions. Be it Politics or any Showbiz issue; he put everyone’s attention towards him with his remarks. Though he belongs to a Showbiz family, yet his journey of hard work is inspiring and worth appreciating.
Mani started his career as a junior anchor and host. Later, he became a sitcom and comedy actor. After that, he joined Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP). In an interview with Samina Peerzada, Mani opened up about his interest in sports. It didn’t occur to him to introduce himself to the TV.
Mani appeared in a theatre with a theatre group, but his original interest grew after his minor appearance in a theatre with a theatre group, Katha stars Sania Saeed and Nadia Jamil.
His scripts for Fakhar-e-Alam’s Boom Boom Bastic show were popular. In 2001, he hosted the first-ever Road Show in Pakistan TV history called Streets, in which he handles the show by asking issue-based questions to the public of Pakistan.
Mani also hosted two other roadshows called Road Romeo and Sarrak Chhap. After that, he did a comedy show called Sub Set hai alongside Azfar Ali, and Adnan Shah Tipu. Afterward, he also did a Radio Show with Azfar Ali.
His next step was to work with a music channel called ARY Musik, and he created the political parody show Mani-ism. A similar show, Ulta Seedha, composed by Faisal Qureshi, co-hosted by Mani. In 2006, he hosted the first talk show Casual for the newly founded Hum TV.
Mani lives in Karachi with his family. His father, the late Saqib Sheikh, likewise remained to the Showbiz industry for a long time. His only sister Ayesha Saqib has functioned as a Child artist in a few PTV dramas, but she didn’t pursue acting for a long time and left Showbiz.
Mani got married to one of Showbiz’s popular actresses, Hira Mani, who has become the superstar of the industry by giving many hit serials. Both are blessed with 2 Sons named Muzammil Salman and Mudassir Salman.
One of his son Muzammil has worked in a superhit serial ‘Yaqeen Ka Safar’ opposite his mother and Ahad Raza Mir. In an interview, Mani revealed that he first married someone else with whom he has a Son ‘Nayyer.’
