Ignacio Mateos is a Spanish actor and director. He was born on 2 march 1979 in Malaga, Spain. Ignacio started creating his own projects, adapting Thomas Berhart’s ‘El Presidente’, which premiered at LaCasa de la Portera in Madrid and creating other productions such as ‘En Familia’ by his own production company at the Pension de las fleas.
He combined theater with film and television, highlighting: ‘La Banda Picasso’ by Fernando Colomo (playing the painter whose original version is in French), ‘Lejos del Mar’ by Imanol Uribe, ‘Animals without a collar’ by Jota Linares, ‘Malaka’, ‘La Templanza’ and ‘El Case.’
He also produced, alongside a large cast, ‘Danzad malditos’, which won the Breakthrough Show Max. He is currently on tour with ‘Jauría’ directed by Miguel del Arco, winner of the last Max for Best Editing of 2019.
It is worth noting his nomination as the best supporting actor at the 2018 Feroz Awards for ‘Animals without a collar. In 2020, he received the Silver Biznaga at the Malaga film festival for his professional career.
