Manga Bhama is real name better known as Bhanupriya, is an Indian actress, Kuchipudi dancer, and voice artist. She was born on 15th January 1967 in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, India. Over the course of her career, Bhanupriya has appeared in 155 feature films, predominantly in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi films. The actress has won three state Nandi Awards, two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, two Filmfare Awards South, and two Cinema Express Awards. Bhanupriya is best known for Mella Pesungal (1883), Kadaikutty Singam (2018), Natyam (2021), Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal (2022) and Indian Actress Bhanupriya will also be starring in the upcoming film Ayalaan (2023).
In 1983, Bhanupriya started her acting career with the Tamil film Mella Pesungal. She then appeared in the Telugu hit Sitaara, which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu for that year. She then played an ornithologist in the 1985 mystery film Anveshana. Throughout her career, she has played everything from slapstick comedy to epic drama.
Bhanupriya belong to Hindu family. Bhanupriya got married to 1998 in Adarsh Kaushal, a digital graphics engineer. The couple has a daughter, Abhinaya, born in 2002.Bhanupriya divorced Kaushal in 2005 and returned to India, and resumed her acting career. She lives in Chennai with her daughter. Kaushal died in 2018 after suffering a cardiac arrest.
