Auroshika Dey is a talenetd Indian actress & dancer. She was born on 1st Janaury, 1980 in Mumbai, India. Recently, Auroshika is featuring in Hindi movie Chatrapathi. Auroshikha acting philosophy is to keep the method organic yet spontaneous – bringing out multi-layered characters with complex emotions. An ardent aficionado of new-wave, expressionism and avant-garde style, she draws her creative stimulus from a wide variety of subjects including history, culture, politics, literature and most of all – people! She owes this to her alma mater – the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (Pune) where she got trained in the ‘craft of acting’ by industry’s finest performers and accomplished veterans. Though, her journey as an artist started much before.
When, Auroshika made her maiden appearance in Hindi Films in 2012 in “Myoho” playing a central role. he has continued to push her theatrical limits through many successful multi-cultural productions covering films, television, theatre & digital mediums. Her body of work includes full length features like “Charlie Kay Chakkar Mein”, “NH-8: Road to Nidhivan”, “Myoho”, ” Prem Mayee” “Haat – The Weekly Bazaar”, Shorts like “Salaam”, “Ek Jevani”, “Points of Origin”, along with multiple documentaries and commercials for multinational conglomerates. Able to converse flawlessly in English, Hindi and Bengali, Auroshikha has done work in Urdu, Punjabi, Malayalam and Marathi environments as well.
