John Vijay is an Indian actor. He was born on 20 November 1976 in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, India. In 2006, he made his acting debut in the Tamil Film Industry with the ‘Thalaimagan’ movie.

A year later, his Loyola College juniors Pushkar and Gayatri offered him a role in ‘Oram Po’. In which, he played the role of Pichchai (Son of Gun). With this movie, he gained fame and much-needed recognition.

He then acted in many movies like Billa (2007), Poi Solla Porom (2008), Raavanan (2010), Angadi Theru (2010), Bale Pandiya (2010), Thillalangadi (2010), and Va (2010). He then made his debut in Kannada Film Industry with the ‘Prithvi’ movie.

He finished his schooling in a local school in Thoothkudi and later, finished his M. Sc degree in Visual Communication. Apart from acting, he also works as the head program director of Radio One FM.

He is the chief of an advertising agency, ‘H2O’. In 2011, John married his Loyola Collegemate ‘Madhavi Elangovan’ on January 21, 2011.
