The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has officially announced the examination calendar for its Allied Health Sciences programmes. This important decision was finalized during the 35th meeting of the UHS Board of Studies in Allied Health Sciences. The meeting was chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ahsan Waheed Rathore on Monday, where several key academic matters were discussed and approved.
The session was attended by respected members of the board, including Board Convener Dr. Saba Khaliq, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nadia Naseem, Registrar Kiran Fatima, and principals of UHS-affiliated colleges. Their participation highlighted the importance of collective decision-making to ensure the smooth functioning of academic activities across all institutions under UHS.
As per the newly approved schedule, the annual examinations for both the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and BS Allied Health Sciences programmes will begin in 2025. For BS Allied Health Sciences students, the first and second professional examinations are scheduled for the third week of February 2026. The third professional examinations will be held in March, while the fourth professional examinations will take place in April. Similarly, for DPT students, the first, second, and third professional exams are planned for February 2026. These will be followed by the fourth professional examinations in late March, and finally, the fifth professional (final year) examinations in April.
In addition to the examination schedule, the board also approved the commencement date for the upcoming BS Allied Health Sciences Fall 2025 session. Classes for this new session will officially begin on October 16, 2025. Furthermore, the board strictly decided that no undergraduate programme will be allowed to start in any affiliated college unless a minimum of ten students are enrolled. This condition has been set to maintain the quality of education and ensure proper class strength.
The new calendar reflects UHS’s efforts to bring structure, clarity, and discipline into the academic system of its affiliated programmes. It will help students prepare for their studies in advance and assist colleges in organizing their academic schedules effectively.
