Nonkululeko Mlaba Career
Nonkululeko Mlaba's international cricket career began in September 2019 when she was selected for South Africa's series against India. In the same month, she made her Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) debut against India. She was chosen for South Africa's Women's One Day International (WODI) squad for their series against New Zealand in 2020.
Her journey continued as she secured a spot in South Africa's squad for the 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup in Australia. She received the award of Newcomer of the Year at Cricket South Africa's annual awards ceremony in July 2020. She made her WODI debut for South Africa against Pakistan in January 2021.
Her remarkable achievements led to her selection for the 2022 Women's Cricket World Cup in New Zealand in February 2022. Mlaba was honored with her first central contract by Cricket South Africa for the 2022–23 season in May 2022. Her journey in the cricket world continued as she was named in South Africa's Women's Test squad for a one-off match against England Women in June 2022, marking her Test debut for South Africa. She was named to South Africa's squad for the cricket tournament at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England in July 2022.
