Nadine de Klerk Career
Nadine de Klerk started her cricket journey with Northerns women's cricket team in 2013, where she played the 2013-14 and 2018-19 CSA Women's One-Day Cup and the CSA Women's T20 Challenge. In 2019, she switched to the Western Province women's cricket team, participating in the 2019-20 CSA Women's One-Day Cup and the CSA Women's T20 Challenge. currently, she is part of the teams Western Province, Oval Invincibles, and The Blaze. de Klerk has played for the Brisbane Heat in the two seasons of the Women Big Bash League in 2020-21 and 2021-2022.
She began her international cricket journey in May 2017 when she made her Women's One Day International (WODI) debut against India during the 2017 South Africa Quadrangular Series. Shortly after, in February 2018, she had her first match of Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) cricket while playing for South Africa against India.
Cricket South Africa recognized her talent and included her in the Powerade Women's National Academy intake for the year 2019. Later, in September 2019, she was named in the F van der Merwe XI squad for the inaugural Women's T20 Super League in South Africa. Nadine de Klerk was selected for South Africa's squad for the 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup in Australia.
Nadine de Klerk earned a national contract from Cricket South Africa in March 2020. Subsequently, in July 2020, she was named in South Africa's 24-woman squad for training ahead of their tour to England. She was named as one of the three reserves in South Africa's team for the 2022 Women's Cricket World Cup in New Zealand. She was named in South Africa's Women's Test squad for a one-off match against England Women, making her Test debut on 27 June 2022. She was selected to represent South Africa in the cricket tournament at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England. She had signed with The Blaze for the English domestic season.
