Jos Buttler, the captain of England's limited-overs cricket team, is a dynamic cricketer known for his aggressive batting. He was born on 8 September 1990 in Taunton, Somerset, Englan. He plays for Lancashire in domestic cricket and has been part of various T20 leagues, including the IPL. Buttler was instrumental in England's 2019 Cricket World Cup victory and later led the team to win the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup.
He made his T20I debut in 2011, his ODI debut in 2012, and his Test debut in 2014. In the 2019 World Cup final, Buttler's run-out in the Super Over secured England's win. He became the captain of England's limited-overs teams in 2022 and led them to T20 World Cup success.
Buttler is a right-handed wicket-keeper-batsman and holds several records, including the highest seventh-wicket partnership in ODIs with Adil Rashid. He's England's top run-scorer in T20Is and one of the few English players to score a T20I century. As a wicket-keeper, he has the most dismissals in England's ODI and T20I history.
Jos Buttler tied the knot with Louise Webber, with fellow cricketers Steven Finn and Alex Hales taking on roles as ushers at the wedding. The couple welcomed their first daughter, Georgia Rose, into the world in April 2019, and their family grew with the arrival of their second daughter, Margot, in September 2021. Jos was recognized for his contributions to cricket and was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2020 New Year Honours.
