KARACHI: The Sindh government has officially introduced an online job portal aimed at simplifying the process of job hunting in both the public and private sectors across the province. This initiative is expected to enhance accessibility to employment opportunities and ensure a transparent and efficient recruitment process.
The launch event was attended by key political figures, including Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, and Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon. Additionally, prominent members of the business community, government officials, and other notable personalities were present to witness the unveiling of this significant platform.
According to a spokesperson from the Sindh government, the newly launched portal, named ‘I Work for Sindh,’ is designed to facilitate a merit-based hiring process, ensuring that job seekers can apply for suitable positions without unnecessary hurdles. The platform will serve as a bridge between employers and potential employees, allowing for a more streamlined and efficient recruitment process.
During an appearance on ARY News’ morning show Ba Khabar Sawera, PPP leader Sadia Javed highlighted that the Sindh job portal will accommodate job seekers applying for positions ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 15. She emphasized that the recruitment process would be conducted fairly, adhering to a first-come, first-served policy while maintaining strict merit-based selection criteria.
The government spokesperson further explained that the portal will cater to individuals from various professional backgrounds, including doctors, engineers, teachers, IT specialists, and administrative staff. It will offer separate listings for government and private sector jobs, ensuring that applicants are matched with positions that align with their qualifications and skill sets. Moreover, the system will be regularly updated with new job openings, allowing job seekers to stay informed about emerging opportunities in real time.
By introducing this digital employment solution, the Sindh government aims to combat unemployment, encourage skilled professionals to find relevant positions, and create an inclusive job market that benefits individuals from diverse educational and professional backgrounds. Officials have assured that the platform will remain user-friendly, secure, and transparent, making it easier for job seekers to navigate and apply efficiently.
This initiative marks a crucial step toward modernizing the province’s hiring process and empowering individuals with better career prospects.
