Security arrangements finalized for Chand Raat, Eid ul Fitr 2019. Lahore police issued a foolproof security arrangements plan today June 3 for the occasion of Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr.
Police squad will be specially deployed at markets, shopping centers and recreational places to provide a safe Holy festival.
278 mosques have been added to category A, 432 mosques in category B, while 3423 mosques in category C have been accordingly classified as sensitive places for Eid fest.
Technical weeping of mosques, Eidgahs and Imambargahs will be conducted through special branch. Apart from this, police officials will be deployed in civil uniform in all public places, bazaars, open markets and shopping centers. The RPO issued directions that DPOs in their respective districts patrolling should remain effective 24 hours throughout the area and parking should be established at least 200 meters away from mosques and Eidgahs. He appealed to the people to consider the national situation and cooperate with law enforcement institutions and observe their national duty so that we can root out terrorism, crimes and criminals from our country together.
As per DIG operations, special teams have been formed to provide security to important and crowded places of Lahore. Police officials will also be deployed in civil uniform to ensure peace and harmony.
DIG operations informed that security plans have been prepared for the Eid congregation on mosques, Eidgahs and Imambargahs. Special security plan has been set for recreational places, parks and graveyards as well.
They also informed that special attention will be given to Holy places. Eid namaz will offered in 4533 mosques across Lahore whereas more than 193 open spaces will also be provided security for namaz. Security will be on high alert during Eid days. Reported by dunyanews.
