Schools Will Remain Open Tomorrow to Celebrate Youm-e-Takbeer

All government schools in Punjab will remain open on May 28 this year to celebrate Youm-e-Takbeer, a very important day for Pakistan. This decision was shared through an official notification by the School Education Department on Tuesday. Youm-e-Takbeer marks the historic day when Pakistan successfully conducted its first nuclear tests and became a nuclear power. This event made Pakistan the first Muslim country and the seventh country in the world to possess nuclear weapons, which is a proud moment in the nation’s history.

The notification explains that schools will hold special programs to remember and honor this day. These programs will include singing national songs that inspire love for the country, delivering speeches to explain the importance of Youm-e-Takbeer, and paying heartfelt tributes to the Pakistan Armed Forces. The Education Department has directed that various competitions be held across all districts in Punjab’s government schools. These competitions will include speech contests where students can share their thoughts about national pride and Pakistan’s journey to becoming a nuclear power. There will also be art exhibitions where students can draw or paint pictures related to patriotism, science, and peace. Additionally, national song contests will be organized to encourage students to express their patriotism through music and song.

Winning students at the district-level competitions will receive cash prizes of Rs50,000, as mentioned in the notification. These prizes are meant to motivate students to participate actively and to recognize their talents. Such rewards also encourage healthy competition and help develop students’ confidence and skills.

The department also informed that summer vacations in schools will begin only after all Youm-e-Takbeer activities are completed. This means students will first take part in these meaningful celebrations before going on their holiday break. The department wants to make sure that the spirit of patriotism and national pride is strongly felt by the students every year through these events.

It is important to note that the Pakistan government declared May 28 as a public holiday this year, which falls on a Wednesday. This holiday was announced on May 20 and is meant for the whole country to recognize and celebrate Youm-e-Takbeer. On this day, many events take place not only in schools but also in different cities and towns, including parades, special TV programs, and official ceremonies to honor Pakistan’s scientific and military achievements.

Youm-e-Takbeer is a day of great pride for Pakistanis.
