Saudi Arabia to Host WrestleMania 43 in 2027, WWE Confirms

In a groundbreaking announcement, it was revealed on Friday that WrestleMania 43 will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 2027. This marks a major milestone for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), as it will be the first time in history that the iconic event will take place outside of North America.

The official announcement came during a special press event at the Fontainebleau Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The news was delivered by Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and president of the Saudi Arabian Boxing Federation, alongside Paul Levesque, WWE’s Chief Content Officer, who is famously known to fans as Triple H. Several legendary and current WWE superstars were also present at the ceremony, making it a star-studded occasion.

A Promise Fulfilled

Turki Alalshikh highlighted that this announcement fulfills a promise he made back in 2018. At that time, he vowed to bring world-class sports and entertainment events to Saudi Arabia. “We wanted to change the future by doing big projects together, and today’s announcement is proof of that commitment,” he said.

Alalshikh further explained that WrestleMania is the biggest wrestling event in the world and holds a special place in the hearts of fans. Hosting it in Riyadh as part of the Riyadh Season 2027 festival will not only showcase Saudi Arabia’s growing role in global sports but also take WrestleMania to “unprecedented heights.”

More Than Just an Event

For those who may not know, WrestleMania is not just a single-day spectacle. It is a week-long celebration that includes fan festivals, major WWE shows like Friday Night SmackDown, Monday Night Raw, and NXT, as well as community outreach activities. Every year, fans from more than 60 countries travel across the world to attend, creating a truly global atmosphere.

WWE’s impact on local economies has been remarkable. According to Alalshikh, WWE has generated over $1.5 billion for host cities in the past decade. He also pointed out that Las Vegas alone welcomed more than 200,000 WWE fans in the past four months, proving how massive and profitable these events are for tourism and business.

Triple H Praises Saudi Partnership

Triple H expressed his excitement about the partnership with Saudi Arabia, describing Turki Alalshikh as a “visionary leader who is making a massive impact on the world of sports and entertainment.” He emphasized that the passion of Saudi fans for WWE will not only strengthen the brand in the Middle East but also create unforgettable experiences for fans worldwide.

“They (Alalshikh and GEA) have been phenomenal partners, and we are thrilled to work with them to bring WrestleMania 43 to the next level,” Triple H said.

WWE’s Strong Ties with Saudi Arabia

Since 2018, WWE has worked closely with the General Entertainment Authority to bring blockbuster events to Saudi Arabia. These include Crown Jewel, Elimination Chamber, King & Queen of the Ring, Night of Champions, Friday Night SmackDown, and Monday Night Raw. Many of these events broke global records for viewership and attendance.

Friday’s announcement also builds excitement for upcoming WWE shows in Saudi Arabia. In January 2026, Riyadh will host the 39th annual Royal Rumble, which will be broadcast live on ESPN in the United States and on Netflix around the world.

Star Power at the Announcement

The announcement ceremony wasn’t just about speeches—it was a true WWE moment filled with legendary names. Retired icons Shawn Michaels (“The Heartbreak Kid”) and Mark Calaway (“The Undertaker”) shared the stage, creating a wave of nostalgia among fans. They were joined by current superstars like Queen Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Logan Paul, and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. Also present was Stephanie McMahon, a longtime WWE executive and personality, further underlining the importance of this announcement.

A New Era for WrestleMania

The decision to host WrestleMania in Riyadh shows how WWE is expanding its reach beyond traditional markets. By bringing its biggest annual event to Saudi Arabia, WWE is opening the door to new fans while maintaining its global appeal. With Riyadh Season 2027 as the backdrop, fans can expect a historic WrestleMania unlike anything seen before—filled with world-class matches, entertainment, and international flair.
