Saudi Arabia has introduced a new digital service called “Nusuk Umrah”, making it easier for Muslims around the world to apply for Umrah visas online. The platform aims to reduce travel hurdles and provide pilgrims with a smoother, more organized journey.
Direct Visa Applications Without Agents
According to Arab media reports, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah officially launched the service to allow applicants to complete the visa process directly through the platform. This removes the need for intermediaries or private agents, saving time and money for international travelers.
Booking Access to Riyaz-ul-Jannah
The service also simplifies access to Riyaz-ul-Jannah inside Masjid al-Nabawi in Madinah, a sacred place where many pilgrims wish to pray. Previously, securing a booking here was often complicated, but with Nusuk Umrah, visitors can now make reservations more easily through the system.
One-Stop Platform for Pilgrims
Available at umrah.nusuk.sa, the platform is designed as a one-stop solution for pilgrims. Besides visa applications, users can also book hotels, arrange transportation, and choose guided tours. Both complete packages and individual services are offered, giving travelers flexibility to customize their trip.
Support for Travelers Needing Assistance
The Ministry has assured that those who find it difficult to navigate the online system can still seek help. The platform provides details of licensed travel agents who are authorized to assist pilgrims in completing the process.
Enhancing Pilgrim Experience
Officials explained that the goal of Nusuk Umrah is to raise service standards and improve visitor experience in line with the Kingdom’s modernization efforts. The government wants to ensure that every pilgrim enjoys a smooth and spiritually fulfilling journey during their stay.
Linked to Vision 2030 Goals
The launch is also part of Saudi Arabia’s broader Vision 2030 strategy, which seeks to increase the number of international pilgrims while upgrading facilities and services. By embracing digital technology, the Kingdom hopes to handle growing demand and provide world-class hospitality to millions of Muslims each year.
A Step Toward Digital Transformation
With the Nusuk Umrah platform, Saudi Arabia has entered a new phase in managing religious travel. The service highlights the country’s push toward digital transformation, reducing administrative barriers and allowing pilgrims to focus more on their spiritual experience.
