Pakistan’s rising fast bowler Salman Mirza has expressed confidence ahead of the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, stressing that the team’s goal is much bigger than just defeating India.
While speaking to reporters at the ICC Global Academy, where the national side is undergoing intense preparations for both the Tri-Nation Series and the Asia Cup, Mirza highlighted the calm and positive leadership of skipper Salman Ali Agha.
“Salman Agha is a very cool-headed captain,” Mirza said. “He never puts pressure on the players and always makes sure the dressing room atmosphere stays relaxed. This really helps youngsters like me to perform with confidence.”

The Pakistan cricket team is currently holding rigorous training sessions in Dubai to fine-tune their skills ahead of two key tournaments. The upcoming Tri-Nation Series will feature Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the United Arab Emirates.
