Comprehensive Arrangements to Accommodate Worshipers

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques coordinated efforts to enhance the facilities and provide worshipers with a comfortable environment in which to pray and reflect.
- Optimized Space Utilization: The Mataf (the circumambulation area around the Kaaba) was structured to accommodate up to 107,000 pilgrims per hour, ensuring the smooth flow of movement inside the Grand Mosque despite the high turnout.
- Advanced Accessibility Features: A total of 428 escalators and 28 elevators were made available across the mosque premises to assist the elderly, disabled individuals, and those with limited mobility in easily reaching different levels of the mosque.
- Enhanced Audio System: To ensure that worshipers could fully immerse themselves in the recitation of the Qur’an and prayers, 1,300 state-of-the-art audio speakers were installed throughout the mosque. This allowed for crystal-clear sound transmission, making the spiritual experience even more profound.
- Climate Control Measures: Given the large gathering and the warm climate, authorities installed cooling systems with a capacity of 90,000 tons to regulate indoor temperatures. This ensured a comfortable and serene prayer environment, allowing worshipers to focus entirely on their spiritual journey.

Recognizing the need for immediate healthcare support amidst the massive gathering, the Makkah Region Health Affairs Department expanded its medical services. Several healthcare centers were strategically positioned within the Grand Mosque and its courtyards to provide prompt medical assistance to anyone in need. These medical units were equipped with essential supplies and staffed by skilled healthcare professionals ready to respond to emergencies.
Additionally, mobile medical teams and ambulances were on standby to assist those experiencing fatigue, dehydration, or any other health concerns due to prolonged prayers and fasting.
