Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU) Islamabad has officially declared a Eid holidays schedule spanning from March 27 to April 4, 2025, in observance of Jumu’ah-tul-Wida and Eid-ul-Fitr. This announcement was made through an official notification issued by the university administration, ensuring that students, faculty, and staff are well informed about the upcoming break.
During this period, the university will remain closed for a total of nine consecutive days, with all academic, research, and administrative activities temporarily halted. Regular operations, including classes, office work, and campus services, will resume on April 7, 2025. The extended break will provide ample time for students, faculty, and administrative staff to fully engage in religious observances, participate in Eid celebrations, and spend quality time with their families and loved ones.
The decision to implement this holiday schedule was formally approved by the Vice-Chancellor, who recognized the significance of these religious occasions and the need for an extended break. The notification regarding this decision has been circulated among various university officials, including faculty deans, department heads, hostel provosts, and other administrative personnel. Additionally, the notice has been prominently displayed on the university’s official notice board to ensure widespread awareness among students and staff.
This holiday period serves as an opportunity for students to travel back to their hometowns, engage in traditional festivities, and rejuvenate before returning to academic responsibilities. By granting this extended break, the university administration acknowledges the importance of cultural and religious traditions, ensuring that everyone at QAU can observe Eid-ul-Fitr in a peaceful and joyous manner.
