Punjab Vehicle Registration System Down for 2 Days

Punjab Vehicle Registration

The Motor Vehicle Registration System in Punjab has been out of service for the past two days. This has created a lot of trouble for people all over the province who need to register or renew their vehicle documents.

The system, which is managed by the Punjab Excise and Taxation Department, suddenly stopped working. Many citizens have visited their local excise offices, only to find that they can’t get anything done. People are frustrated because they are wasting time and energy without getting any results.

According to officials from the department, the system is currently being upgraded. They explained that tax rates for vehicles were recently changed, and the system needs to be updated to match these new rates. Because of this upgrade, all services related to vehicle registration have been temporarily stopped.

Due to the ongoing upgrade, excise offices across the province are still not working today. This means that citizens have no choice but to wait until the system becomes functional again.

“I had to come back three times in this hot weather. It’s very difficult to keep coming back again and again,” said one local resident while standing outside the excise office.

Some people also complained about the attitude of the staff. They said that instead of helping the public, many staff members were seen chatting with each other or not paying attention to the people waiting in line.

Another resident shared his suggestion, “If the system needed an upgrade, it should have been done on the weekend or during public holidays. That way, people wouldn’t have to suffer.”

Meanwhile, the Director of Excise has asked the public to remain calm. He assured everyone that the department is working hard to fix the issue. He also expressed hope that the system will be up and running again by tomorrow.
