LAHORE – In a move to facilitate public sector employees ahead of Eid ul Fitr 2025, the Punjab government has announced the early disbursement of salaries. According to an official notification issued by the provincial government, all government employees will receive their salaries in advance on March 26, 2025.
The decision aims to provide financial relief to employees, allowing them to manage their expenses and make necessary preparations for Eid in a timely manner. With the increased expenditures that often come with the festive season, the initiative is expected to ease financial stress on government workers.
This announcement follows a similar decision made by the Sindh government, which had earlier confirmed the disbursement of advance salaries to its employees. As per the notification from the Sindh government, public sector workers in the province will receive their salaries on March 21, 2025. The move was taken to support employees financially during the Eid holidays, ensuring they can celebrate the occasion without financial constraints.
Eidul Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan, is one of the most significant religious celebrations in Pakistan. In 2025, Eid ul Fitr is expected to fall on March 31, depending on the sighting of the moon. The early salary payments by provincial governments highlight their commitment to employee welfare, ensuring a smooth and stress-free festive period for public sector workers.
