Punjab Education Department Clarifies Summer Camp Policy – Attendance Not Mandatory

The Punjab Education Department has officially issued a clear message for all parents and students about the summer camps currently happening in schools. This statement was made to avoid confusion and provide accurate information about these camps.

According to the department, joining the summer camps is completely optional. No school is allowed to force any parent to send their child or pay any camp-related fees. If any school does try to pressure parents, it would be against the rules.

The department made it very clear that even though summer camps are being held, they are not compulsory. It is totally up to the parents to decide whether they want their children to attend or not. This means if a parent doesn’t want to send their child, the school has no right to insist or demand money for the camp.

In addition, the education department has announced the official dates for the summer camps. These camps are only allowed to take place between June 16 and July 15, 2025. Schools have been instructed to strictly follow this schedule. They are not allowed to continue the camps outside these dates.

Also, schools must not charge any extra fees or place any other responsibilities on the parents beyond what is necessary during this specific period. The department wants to ensure that everything stays fair and transparent for all families.

This move is aimed at protecting parents from unnecessary expenses and giving them the freedom to make decisions in the best interest of their children.
