POSCO Asia Fellowship 2026 in South Korea: Fully Funded Scholarship, Eligibility & How to Apply

The 2026 POSCO Asia Fellowship is a special scholarship offered by the POSCO TJ Park Foundation. It is designed for students from Asia who want to study in South Korea. This scholarship is for those who want to do their Master’s or PhD degrees at top South Korean universities. The POSCO Fellowship focuses only on STEM subjects. STEM means Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. It is a great chance for students in these fields to get financial help and study in South Korea.

Each year, the foundation selects 50 students from Asian countries to receive this scholarship. It is a competitive program, so only the best applicants get selected. Once students are chosen, they can apply to up to three of the nine universities that work with the POSCO Fellowship. These universities are some of the best in South Korea, and they offer a high-quality education.

Another great thing about this scholarship is that there is no application fee. So, students don’t have to worry about paying to apply. South Korea is becoming more popular among international students because of its excellent education system, modern cities, and rich culture. The government wants to welcome even more students from around the world. Their goal is to have 300,000 international students studying in South Korea by the year 2027.

First, you apply for the POSCO Asia Fellowship. After you are selected, you then apply to the universities you want to attend. Getting the fellowship does not automatically mean you’re admitted to the university—you must also meet their requirements.

Below, you will find all the important details about the POSCO Asia Fellowship, including who can apply, what benefits it offers, and how to apply.
