For organisers, this comes as a big relief. Earlier, ticket sales were unusually slow because of the steep ticket prices and a new “package system” that did not impress many fans. This was surprising since matches between Pakistan and India usually sell out within minutes.
However, after the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) made extra efforts to attract fans, sales picked up rapidly. Officials confirmed on Thursday that around 90% of tickets have already been sold, and the general enclosure tickets are completely booked. The few remaining seats are disappearing fast, as cricket lovers from both sides of the border rush to secure their spots.

Online platforms are also experiencing heavy traffic, with fans refreshing pages non-stop to grab tickets. To handle the overwhelming response, organisers opened a new online sales window on Thursday evening, giving fans one last chance to buy tickets.
