Pakistan Star Players Ruled Out of Bangladesh T20 Series 2025

Pakistan is getting ready to start its T20 journey this month with a three-match series against Bangladesh. But this time, the preparations come with a few major challenges. Several key players are injured, and the team will have to rely on fresh faces to step up and fill the gaps.

The national training camp is scheduled to begin on July 8 at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi. During this camp, the coaching staff will work on improving the squad’s performance and preparing replacements for the players who are unfit to play.

One of the biggest blows for Pakistan is the possible absence of vice-captain Shadab Khan. The star all-rounder has been struggling with an injury and has been advised by doctors in the United Kingdom to go through surgery. If he goes ahead with the operation, Shadab will likely be out of action for several months. His absence will leave a big hole in both Pakistan’s batting and bowling departments.

But that’s not all—fast bowlers Naseem Shah and Mohammad Wasim Jr. are also facing fitness issues. Both are still recovering from injuries and are not fully fit yet. Their participation in the Bangladesh series is still uncertain. Without them, Pakistan’s fast bowling attack will be less experienced and under pressure.

Although these injuries are a setback, they also create new chances for younger players to shine. One such player is Salman Mirza, a rising fast bowler who impressed everyone in the latest season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Playing for Lahore Qalandars, Salman took 9 wickets in just 4 matches, helping his team win their third PSL title. Because of his strong performance, he is now very close to getting his first call-up to the national team.

Earlier this year, Pakistan defeated Bangladesh in a 3-0 clean sweep during a home series. However, this upcoming series will be different. With many senior players missing and new players joining the squad, it will be a true test of Pakistan’s bench strength. The team will not only aim for victory but also look to discover new talent that can perform well on the international stage.

This series gives young cricketers a golden chance to show their skills, earn the selectors’ trust, and become regular members of the national side. For fans, it will be exciting to see how these new players perform under pressure and whether they can rise to the occasion.
