Pakistan Railways Eid-ul-Azha Special Trains 2025 – Full Schedule and Details

As Eid-ul-Azha approaches, millions of people across Pakistan are preparing to travel to their hometowns to celebrate with loved ones. To help manage the heavy rush of passengers during this time, Pakistan Railways has announced Eid-ul-Azha Special Trains. These trains are specially arranged to provide a safe and comfortable journey for travelers and to reduce the pressure on regular train services.

The goal of Pakistan Railways is to make travel easier, especially for those who find it difficult to get tickets due to overcrowded trains during holidays. With these additional trains, people will have more travel options, which means fewer crowds, better availability of seats, and a smoother travel experience.

Schedule of Eid-ul-Azha Special Trains

The five special Eid trains will run between June 2 and June 4, 2025. This is just before Eid, giving travelers enough time to reach their destinations before the celebrations begin. Here’s a breakdown of each train’s route and timing:

  • June 2:
The first special train will depart from Karachi Cantt at 1:00 p.m. and will head to Lahore. This train is expected to be useful for people traveling from the southern region to Punjab.
  • June 3:
A train will leave Quetta at 10:00 a.m. and go to Peshawar Cantt. This will help travelers in Balochistan reach Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in time for Eid.
Later that day, at 5:00 p.m., another train will depart from Lahore and head back to Karachi Cantt.
  • June 3 (evening):
On the same day, another train will depart from Karachi City station to Rawalpindi at 8:00 p.m. This is a great option for those traveling from Sindh to northern Punjab.
  • June 4:
The final special Eid train will leave Karachi Cantt again for Lahore at 8:00 p.m.. This gives last-minute travelers another chance to reach home before Eid.

New Coaches and Better Travel Experience

Pakistan Railways is not only adding extra trains but also making efforts to improve the quality of travel. Officials have confirmed that some of these special trains will include newly built or upgraded coaches, which have been prepared in railway workshops. These coaches are designed to offer a more comfortable and clean environment for passengers.

The remaining special trains will use previously designated Eid train sets that are maintained especially for holiday travel. The purpose is to ensure that passengers enjoy a safe, reliable, and pleasant journey, no matter where they are traveling.

Railway Stations to Become More Modern and Passenger-Friendly

Apart from managing travel during Eid, Federal Minister for Railways, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, also shared exciting news about long-term improvements at railway stations. He announced new plans to make railway stations cleaner, more modern, and easier for passengers to use.

One of the major changes includes the development of modern-style restaurants at various railway stations. These restaurants will not be run by Pakistan Railways directly. Instead, they will be outsourced to professional management teams. This will ensure that the food and service provided to travelers meet high standards.

Minister Abbasi said, “These restaurants will not only serve train passengers but will also be open to the general public. Citizens will be able to visit and enjoy these facilities at any time of the day.”

A Step Towards Better Services

The announcement of these special trains and station upgrades shows that Pakistan Railways is making serious efforts to improve its services. By adding special Eid trains, they are helping thousands of families travel home without facing the usual rush and stress. And by upgrading railway stations and adding modern facilities, they are working toward creating a better experience for everyone—not just during Eid, but all year round.

These improvements reflect the government’s focus on passenger comfort, safety, and satisfaction. Travelers are advised to book their tickets early, follow safety rules, and check the official Pakistan Railways website or nearby booking offices for updates.
