WCL Returns for Season 2 with Cricketing Legends from Six Countries

The World Championship of Legends (WCL) T20 tournament is all set to return this year, following a highly successful debut season in 2024. The league features legendary former cricketers from six cricket-loving nations: Pakistan, India, England, Australia, South Africa, and the West Indies.

This year’s matches will take place in the July-August window, and fans are already excited to witness their favorite stars back in action.

Pakistan Champions’ Journey in Season 1: A Remarkable Performance

In the inaugural season of the WCL, Pakistan Champions had an outstanding run. They dominated the group stage, starting their campaign with an impressive win over Australia, followed by a crushing victory against the West Indies.

One of the most unforgettable matches of the tournament was their high-scoring game against arch-rivals India. Pakistan posted a massive total of 243/4, thanks to powerful batting performances, and later restricted India to just 175/9, securing a memorable win.

The team, captained by former Pakistan skipper Younis Khan, continued their strong form with a solid victory over England. Their only group-stage loss came against South Africa, but that did not stop them from advancing to the semi-finals.

In the semi-final match, Pakistan faced the West Indies once again and delivered a strong performance, winning by 20 runs to reach the final.

The final match was a thrilling contest between Pakistan and India. Pakistan set a target of 157 runs, but India chased it down in 19.1 overs, winning the championship with five wickets in hand. Despite the loss, Pakistan’s overall performance won them a lot of respect and admiration from fans around the world.
