During his police interview, Haider Ali denied all allegations. According to sources close to his family, he said he knew the woman and described her as a friend. He admitted they met at a Manchester hotel but rejected the accusation of rape.
Police arrested him at the Spitfire County Cricket Ground in Kent, inside the Players’ Canteen Office. He was later taken to Canterbury Police Station for questioning by officers.
PCB Suspends Haider Ali
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) responded by announcing that Haider Ali has been placed under provisional suspension until the case is resolved.
