The Government of Pakistan has announced a special educational visit to Türkiye for the top-performing students of Matric exams from all boards. This decision was officially shared through a circular issued by the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC).
The program is a joint effort of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training and the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports. Under this initiative, brilliant students from different Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs) across Pakistan will get the chance to visit Türkiye on official passports. The tour aims to reward hardworking students and give them international exposure to broaden their knowledge and experiences.
Key Requirements for Students
According to the official advisory, students must follow certain rules and complete specific requirements before their departure:
- Medical Certificate: Each student must get a medical fitness certificate from a government hospital to confirm that they are healthy enough to travel.
- Parental Consent: A written permission letter from parents or guardians is required to ensure family approval.
- Dress Code: Students must bring two white shalwar kameez suits along with shoes, while the ministry will provide them with a green blazer to represent Pakistan.
- Luggage Restrictions: Only one shoulder bag is allowed per student. Items like laptops and cameras are strictly prohibited to avoid extra burden and security issues.
- Contact Information: Parents’ or guardians’ contact details must be submitted beforehand for communication and safety purposes.
- Transport Costs: Pick-and-drop expenses for students will be covered by their respective educational boards.
These requirements are meant to maintain discipline, ensure safety, and create a uniform identity for all students traveling under this government initiative.
Deadline for Submission of Documents
The IBCC has directed all BISEs to collect the passports and other required documents of the selected students. These must be submitted to the IBCC Secretariat in Islamabad no later than September 19, 2025. After that, the documents will be forwarded to the concerned authorities for processing. Any delays could affect the students’ participation in the program.
Supervision and Coordination
To make sure everything goes smoothly, the chairpersons of all BISEs have been given the responsibility to supervise the entire process. They will guide the students step by step, help them complete the required paperwork, and ensure that no student faces difficulty during preparation. This coordination will also make sure that the tour is organized in a disciplined and professional way, highlighting Pakistan’s image abroad.
This initiative is not just a reward for academic toppers but also an opportunity for them to learn about another country, experience a new culture, and serve as young ambassadors of Pakistan in Türkiye.
